Relay for Life is April 11-12, and it's not too late to join the IPE team! So far, our team is in 5th place for fundraising. Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society--and it started right here at UPS on Baker Stadium. The event runs from April 11 at 5 PM to April 12 at noon and will include live entertainment.
To join the team, visit http://www.relayforlifeofups.com and register as a member of the IPE team. There is no registration fee to sign up.
Once you have signed up, start collecting donations. After you are registered, log in to the UPS Relay for Life website and click "Participant Center." Under "E-mail," you'll find an option to send an e-mail requesting donations. It's a really easy process--there's a pre-written e-mail which you can customize if you desire. It includes a link to a donation page where your friends and family can donate to Relay for Life in your name. Our goal as a team is to raise $2008 before April 11, and so far we have collected over $500!! We need all hands on deck, so start requesting donations now!
We need to keep one member of our team on the track from 5 PM April 11 to 12 PM April 12--that's a total of 19 hours to cover. To sign up to walk/run the track, please send an e-mail to Jessica Bruce jbruce@ups.edu listing the hours you can volunteer. If you plan to stay in a tent overnight, let Jessica know ASAP.
