Summer WTO Studies in Geneva

I thought you might be interested in information about a summer program on the World Trade Organization held at the Graduate Institute of International Studies at the University of Geneva. This is a 4 week course, starting in July, covering the law, economics and policy of the world trading system and each week will be taught by both a lawyer as well as an economist. The Program is located just next door to the World Trade Organization, and will be drawing on these experts as well as those from other institutions in the city and abroad through various forms of educational activities. The program features lectures for 4 hours in the morning, followed by tutorials in the afternoons. They also have organized activities (such as visits to the WTO and other important institutions). On some evenings, there will be lectures and debates with trade negotiators and academics.

You can find out more at the program website: I am not aware of any UPS students who have done this program in the past, so I don’t know how work in Geneva would translate into UPS credits, if at all.
