The Art of the Senior Thesis

Jessica Bruce has organized a special Brown Bag program for this week aimed at IPE students who are looking ahead with pleasure (or panic and dread?) to writing a senior thesis. Jessica writes ...

Whether you're curious about the process of picking a thesis topic, researching, and writing the IPE senior thesis, or whether you'd like to learn about the current research of IPE seniors, come to Wednesday's brown bag lunch. A panel of current IPE seniors will give brief overviews of their research and discuss the process of thesis-writing: how they picked their topics, finding data, executing the research process, writing, and presenting.

Presentations will include:

  • Chris Faggella – Globalization and the developed world: Through the lens of immigration policy in France and the US
  • Emily Noel – The World Trade Organization, Agricultural trade policy, and the rise of the G-20
  • Zack Stoddard – The Effect of Technology on Income Distribution
  • Jessica Bruce – The Value Added Tax in the Economic Community of West African States
This Wednesday at noon in the WSC Murray Boardroom
