Questioning Authority in Kenya

Kate Darlington (IPE '09) is working with an international NGO in Kenya this year. Her most recent blog post "Question Authority ... But Not Your Mom" sheds light on how deeply ingrained corruption prevents countries like Kenya from achieving their citizens' potential.

Kate's blog makes good reading for this Thanksgiving week -- kinda makes you appreciate how fortunate we are to live in a country where extortion is not accepted as part of the rules of the game. And, of course, encourages us all to question authority.

Footnote: "Question Authority" was the motto of Professor Susan Strange, one of the founders of the IPE movement who also helped shape the program here at Puget Sound.
