Teach English in Japan - Application Deadline: Nov 18

In cooperation with the Japanese Government & various Japanese authorities/organizations, the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program (most commonly known as the JET Program) is a cultural exchange experience offered to graduates with a 4-year degree (all academic fields welcome).

Participants live & work in Japan for a year as Cultural Ambassadors for the US in their roles as either Assistant Language (English) Teachers (the ALT position does not require pre-existing Japanese language skills to apply for this position) or as Coordinators for International Relations (CIR position requires Japanese language skills). We seek responsible & motivated individuals with a strong interest in Japan & in promoting international exchange & friendship.

Applicants must be respectful of other cultures, flexible and adaptable to living and working in a foreign environment & enjoy working with people, especially youth. They must also be highly motivated to study or continue their study of the Japanese language during their participation on the JET Program.
