Emma Klein: A Jewish activist's journey to human rights work for Palestinians

Thursday, March 7th, 7 pm in the Rotunda

Emma Klein, a Seattle-based dance performer and elementary school teacher traveled to the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Israel in 2010 and 2011 as a member of the American Jews for a Just Peace Health and Human Rights Project. While in Occupied Palestine and Israel she met with activists and artists, developing the Jewish-American anti-occupation peace movement. She works locally on educational campaigns and actions with Jewish Voice for Peace - Seattle and the Northwest BDS Coalition. Emma is empowered by the strength of combining art with healing, peace, and justice and works to build a lasting and just peace in Palestine and Israel.
