The IPE Program is holding its first brownbag talk of the Fall on Wednesday, October 16th, from 12-1 pm in the Murray Boardroom.
Kristin Gjelsteen, an IPE Summer Research Fellow, will talk about her research in Bolivia this past summer. The title of her presentation is: “The Politics of Transgenic Food: The Ban on Genetically Modified Crops in Bolivia.”
Kristin’s talk is especially timely, given that there is an initiative on the ballot in Washington State (I-522) to require labeling of genetically engineered food.
We’ll wrap up by about 12:50 for those of you who need to get to class.
Hope you can join us!
