The Illicit Economy of Shellfish in the Puget Sound
This Wednesday, April 13th, from 12:00-12:50PM, the IPE Department will be hosting Deputy Chief Mike Cenci of Washington State's Department of Fish and Wildlife as part of our IPE Brownbag Series. He will be discussing the illicit economy of shellfish in Puget Sound. The event will be taking place in the Murray Boardroom.
Event blurb: Poaching in the Puget Sound is a problem: Clams, oysters, and mussels are poached from the Sound and sold for thousands of dollars, which, among other things, is threatening the sustainability of the Sound’s ecosystem. Join us, Wednesday, April 13th, from 12:00-12:50, in the Murray Boardroom, as we host Deputy Chief Mike Cenci, to learn more about efforts to stop poaching in the Sound.
