New Library Resources

This just in from the staff at Collins Library

Just in time for fall semester, we are pleased to introduce two new resources for you and your students. We know how important it is to provide students with research skills. Research 101 is designed to provide an introduction to research skills. Academic Integrity @ Puget Sound is a resource that can be integrated into class discussions surrounding plagiarism, citation, and integrity. We hope you will find these new resources developed over the summer by the Collins Librarians helpful.

Research 101: http://library.ups.edu/research101/ Research 101 is an interactive online tutorial for students who want or need an introduction to research skills. This interactive online learning program covers how to select a topic and develop research questions, as well as how to select, search for, find, and evaluate information sources. Each section includes a short review quiz for students and is tailored to UPS academic programs.

Academic Integrity @ Puget Sound: http://alacarte.pugetsound.edu/subject-guide/6-Academic-Integrity-Puget-Sound This new web site , developed by Lori Ricigliano, provides an overview of issues associated with Academic Integrity such as avoiding plagiarism and common knowledge standards. Like Research 101, the site provides a series of exercises with interactive quizzes designed to give immediate feedback to students.
