Microfinance Forum: April 7 @ 6:30 pm

Everyone is invited to a student-organized microfinance panel discussion and Q&A at 6:30 pm on Wednesday April 7 in McIntyre Hall 103.

Participants include:
  • Toby Hardman: serves on Guy Carpenter & Company's Miro Risk Solutions (GC Micro) group;
  • Nick White (IPE '08): IPE graduate who studied microcredit in Bolivia wrote his senior thesis on the expanding scope of microfinance institutions; Nick works for Pacific Continental Bank and plans a career in microfinance;
  • Victoria Fann: Business Specialist at Washington CASH (Community Alliance for Self-Help), a Seattle-based microcredit organization;
  • Brad Stave: Manager of Marketing & Communications for VisionFund International – the micro-finance subsidiary of World Vision.
Different perspectives of the micro-finance industry will be represented: namely micro-insurance, micro-loans and the for-profit and not-for-profit side of the industry
