INTEREST MEETING (WITH FOOD!): THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 5 PM, McINTYRE 309

This summer, Peter Wimberger, colleagues from Whitman and Willamette, and I are going to offer an exciting new summer class on food systems in the Paciific Northwest. The course will examine industrial agriculture, international trade, and farm labor while we are around Walla Walla. We will then move to Tacoma where we will examine issues surrounding urban food systems and food justice. Finally, we will examine small-scale production organic farming in Salem, Oregon, where you will also get some dirt under your fingernails.  If you are interested in learning more about the class, please come to the interest meeting this week. If you can’t make the meeting and are interested, feel free to email me (epeine@pugetsound.edu)

Cheers!
Emelie
